Welcome to UK Mat Surfers

This site has been created as an online focal point for surfmat riders in the UK and beyond.  Please feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions about mat surfing, ideas or contributions for content or just to give us your feedback.  For those who are new to these amazing craft, we have put up a section all about mats which will hopefully give some insight into surfmats, why we ride them, advice on which swim fins are best suited to mat surfing, as well as some technical tips on riding, but if all that falls short just drop us an email at admin@ukmatsurfers.org and we’ll do our best to answer any questions.

The media section features various goodies including high quality versions of the UKMS mat meet movies and Inflatable Dreams, the fantastic Surfers’ Journal article by Paul Gross. Don’t forget to visit the shop to get your hands on surfmats, UKMS merchandise. We also stock swim fins specifically suited to mat surfing. Any profits will be put back into UK Mat Surfers to fund prizes for  meets, site hosting fees, etc so get spending!

Finally, we have the UK Mat Surfers Forum which is where the magic of UKMS really happens (apart from in the water of course). You can keep up to date with meets and sessions and plan hook-ups. The UK scene is really tight and always growing so come and join it. You can’t miss us... We’re the ones with the chronic grins!  You don’t have to be from the UK though. Plenty of our regular contributors come from further afield so if you ride a mat, or even if you’re just interested, come and say hello!
